Must admit I've never actually seen a grey crow in Amsterdam but in Berlin I saw at least a dozen. I find them quite special and since I know they are also mentioned hooded crow it gives me an extra reason to make a painting on them. This one is called ...
A cloudy day, black blue sky, cruising on some dutch highway, passing any pasture, there you will encounter them. Like silver stripes, cutting through the dark green. The typically dutch ditches. So enjoyable
Saw this funny seagull sitting on the road while waiting for the boat to Texel. Quite a big bold gull. I think he has been eating a lot of french fries. Since most of the people waiting there, stop at the snackbar, and feed the leftovers to the seagulls.
I just visited a friend, and she told me things that puzzled my mind. While walking with my head down, brooding on all that, I suddenly looked up, struck by the beauty and simplicity of what I saw. Nature often launches me, in a glance, back into the present. Makes me incredibly thankful.

what's this about?
Yes!, the first daily-happy-mini-mail-project by lies goemans is completed. The second too:-)For two years in a row i've been painting a miniature 5x5 cm (2"x 2"inch) daily on this spot. It has been a tribute to lisette goemans and all other people battling a difficult struggle. The first year was not for sale and is now one big artwork of 365 miniature wonderments in paint.
and now?
i started a third new serie of 365 happy-mini-mail, again 5x5 cm (2x2" inch) and you can againbuy the paintings a day, first come first served!
